Facial and body peels use different formulations because body skin is generally thicker and follows a different renewal cycle.

What to Expect

Treatment Time: Approximately 30 minutes

Comfort: You may experience warmth or tingling as the solution is applied, but treatment is generally well tolerated.

Immediately Afterwards: Your skin may appear slightly flushed, tanned or glowing.

Peeling Process: Facial flaking may begin around day two, with more noticeable peeling commonly occurring between days three and five. Peeling usually begins easing by day six, and most clients have largely completed the process by day seven.

Body Peel Recovery: Body peeling often starts later—around days five to seven—and may continue for several additional days.

Is There Any Downtime?

VI Peel does not usually require complete time away from work or normal daily activities. However, it does involve visible skin renewal.

You should expect some combination of:

Many clients continue working throughout the process, but the amount of peeling varies. Consider scheduling your treatment away from weddings, photoshoots or major social events if visible flaking would concern you.

Aftercare

• Follow the instructions in your post-treatment kit exactly.

• Do not pull, pick or peel shedding skin.

• Cleanse gently using cool or lukewarm water.

• Avoid scrubs, exfoliating acids, retinoids and other irritating products until your skin has recovered.

• Avoid excessive heat, strenuous exercise and heavy sweating as advised by your provider.

• Avoid swimming until the peeling process is complete.

• Protect the skin from direct or intense sun exposure.

• Apply the recommended broad-spectrum SPF every morning.

• Contact your provider if you experience severe pain, excessive swelling, blistering or worsening irritation.

It is recommended to avoid direct and extreme sun exposure during the first seven days and to delay swimming until peeling is complete.
