Temporary swelling, redness, tenderness or bruising may occur. Some clients can return to work immediately, while others prefer to allow at least 24 hours for visible swelling to improve. Bruising or puffiness may sometimes last several days.

It may improve dark shadows caused by hollowness by creating a smoother contour beneath the eyes.

However, filler may not correct dark circles caused mainly by pigmentation, visible blood vessels, allergies, thin skin or lifestyle factors. Your provider will assess the likely cause before recommending treatment.

Under-eye filler is not appropriate for every type of eye bag. In some clients, adding filler may make existing puffiness appear more noticeable.

Clients with prominent fat pads, significant swelling or excess skin may be better suited to another treatment or a surgical consultation.

You may notice an immediate improvement, but swelling can temporarily alter the appearance. The result is generally assessed after approximately two weeks, once the area has had time to settle.

Results commonly last around 9–12 months. Duration varies depending on the selected product, dosage, metabolism, anatomy and individual response.

Your provider will select a filler specifically suited to the delicate under-eye area.
