What to Expect

Treatment Time: Approximately 30 minutes

Consultation: Your provider will examine your skin, discuss your concerns and select the most appropriate peel and intensity.

Application: The peel is applied in carefully controlled layers. You may experience mild tingling, warmth or a temporary “spicy” sensation.

Immediately After Treatment: Your skin may appear brighter or slightly flushed and may feel tight or sensitive.

Peeling: Light to moderate dryness, flaking or peeling may occur over the following several days. Some clients experience little visible peeling, but this does not necessarily mean the treatment was ineffective.

Results: Many clients notice a fresher, brighter appearance after the skin settles. More persistent concerns usually respond best to a personalised treatment series.

Is There Any Downtime?

Activity downtime is usually minimal, and most clients can return to work on the same day.

However, your skin may visibly renew over the following days. Possible temporary effects include:

• Mild itching

Visible peeling can last approximately four to seven days, although the timing and intensity vary according to the formula, number of layers and individual skin response.

Pre-Treatment Instructions

• Avoid tanning and excessive sun exposure before your appointment.

• Do not attend treatment with sunburned, broken or significantly irritated skin.

• Tell your provider about all medications, supplements and skincare products you use.

• Inform your provider if you use retinoids, isotretinoin, hydroquinone or prescription acne products.

• Avoid waxing, aggressive exfoliation, laser treatments or other intensive procedures shortly before your peel unless approved by your provider.

• Disclose any history of cold sores, abnormal scarring, allergies or pigmentation problems.

• Inform your provider if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, unwell or experiencing an active skin infection.

Aftercare

• Follow the personalised instructions provided by your skincare professional.

• Use only gentle cleansers, moisturisers and post-treatment products while your skin recovers.

• Do not pick, pull or scrub peeling skin.

• Avoid retinoids, exfoliating acids, scrubs and other irritating active ingredients until advised.

• Avoid strenuous exercise, saunas, steam rooms and excessive heat for at least 24–48 hours.

• Avoid waxing, laser treatments and other aggressive procedures until your skin has fully recovered.

• Protect your skin from direct sun exposure.

• Apply a broad-spectrum sunscreen every morning.

• Contact your provider if you experience severe pain, blistering, excessive swelling or worsening irritation.
